Types of Power and Situational Leadership
Reward Power (ability to reward)
Referent Power (peer pressure/commonly held beliefs)
Legitimate Power (an actual position of authority)
Information Power (have access to info)
Expert Power (have a particular skill or knowledge)
Connection Power (have access to someone or something)
Coercive Power (ability to use force)
Situational Leadership
In most cases, Team Leaders are the best leaders but there are times when other approaches are more appropriate
Team Leader = +People + Task
Supporter = +People - Task
Authoritarian = -People + Task
Token = -People - Task
